1954–55 FC Basel season

The 1954–55 season was Fussball Club Basel 1893s 61st season in their existence. It was their ninth consecutive season in the top flight of Swiss football after their promotion from the Nationalliga B the season 1945–46. They played their home games in the Landhof, in the Wettstein Quarter in Kleinbasel. Jules Dublin was the clubs chairman. It was his ninth successive season as chairman.

Gianfranco de Taddeo is a Swiss former footballer who played in the 1950s. He played as goalkeeper. De Taddeo first played for La Chaux-de-Fonds in the 1949–50 Nationalliga A season. He then played three seasons for BSC Young Boys. He then joined Basels first team for their 1953–54 season under player-coach Rene Bader. After playing in seven test games, de Taddeo played his domestic league debut for his new club in the away game on 21 March 1953 as Basel were defeated 1–2 by Grenchen. Ernst Klauser

Ernst Klauser is a Swiss former footballer who played in the 1950s. He played as a Striker. Klauser joined FC Basels first team for their 1953–54 season under player-coach Rene Bader. Klauser played his domestic league debut for the club in the away game on 29 November 1953 as Basel played a 2–2 draw with Servette. Klauser stayed with Basel for two seasons and then he moved on to Servette for one season before he returned to his club of origin. Romano Zolin is an Italian former footballer who played in the 1950s. He played as Striker. Zolin joined FC Basels first team in their 1953–54 season under player-coach Rene Bader. After playing in two test matches in his first season with the club, Frey played his domestic league debut for the club a year later in the away game on 14 November 1954 as Basel won 3–2 against Lugano. He scored his first goal for his club one week later on 21 November in the home game at the Landhof against Fribourg as Basel won 2–0. Walter Felber

Walter Felber is a Swiss former footballer who played in the 1950s. He played as midfielder. Felber joined FC Basels first team from local team FC Birsfelden in for their 1953–54 season under player-coach Rene Bader. After playing in three test games, Felber played his domestic league debut for the club in the away game on 27 September 1953 as Basel were defeated 2–5 against Lausanne-Sport. In his one season with the club Felber played a total of five games for Basel without scoring a goal. Two of these games were in the Nationalliga A and three were friendly games.

                                               

Alfred Hartmann

Alfred Hartmann is a Swiss former footballer who played in the 1950s. He played mainly as Striker, but also as midfielder. Hartmann joined FC Basels first team for their 1953–54 season under player-coach Rene Bader. He played his domestic league debut for the club in the home game at the Landhof on 13 September 1953 as Basel lost 1–3 against Chiasso. Between the years 1953 and 1955, Hartmann played a total of five games for Basel without scoring a goal. Three of these games were in the Nationalliga A, one in the Swiss Cup and the other was a friendly game.

Rene Klauser was a Swiss footballer who played as defender. Klauser joined Basels first team for their 1953–54 season under player-coach Rene Bader. After playing in one test game, Klauser played his domestic league debut for the club in the away game at on 1 November 1953 as Basel lost 0–2 against La Chaux-de-Fonds. Between the years 1953 and 1956 Klauser played a total of 20 games for Basel without scoring a goal. 13 of these games were in the Nationalliga A, two in the Swiss Cup and five were friendly games.
